How do I lift my washing machine into the cabinet?

A washing machine is heavy and awkward to lift. That is why we advise always putting a washing machine into the cabinet with at least two people. That way you avoid injury and reduce the risk of damage to the machine or the cabinet.

Step 1: Prepare the washing machine

  • Unplug it from the socket and disconnect the water hoses.

  • Drain any remaining water through the filter at the front.

  • Secure the drum with the original transport bolts to prevent damage to the suspension.

  • Secure the door and the detergent drawer so they cannot open while you lift.

Step 2: Lift with the right technique

  • Lift with two people: a washing machine is heavy and awkward, so always lift together and count down together.

  • Use lifting aids: a sack truck or furniture dolly helps you get the machine close to the cabinet. Wear work gloves for extra grip.

  • Lift from your legs: bend your knees, keep your back straight and take hold of the machine at the bottom of the casing. Never use the door or the detergent drawer as a handle.

  • Do not lift too high: raise the machine for as short a time as possible and slide it gently into the cabinet, preferably back first.

  • Protect the cabinet and floor: lay down cardboard or a blanket if needed, to prevent scratches and damage.

Step 3: Position and adjust

As you slide it in, make sure the hoses do not get trapped or kinked. Then level the machine with the adjustable feet to prevent vibration and noise.

Extra security from the anti-tip device

Once in place, the patented anti-tip device adds stability, so the machine stays safely where it is, including during the spin cycle. That way everything stands firmly and safely.
